Steelhead Trout is the rainbow that naturally migrates to the sea, growing bigger than its river counterpart and more akin to a salmon in size.
It is supremely athletic, swimming against Atlantic currents in our Inner Hebridean sea lochs, where we’ve farmed it since 1972.
We are Scotland’s oldest family fish farm, and have pioneered the best in aquaculture techniques for decades. Our values of quality, sustainability and community run through everything we do.
Our Fish
We’re the sole producers of Scottish Steelhead Trout in the UK, and only farm this fish because we know it is exceptional. Packed full of essential Omega 3s and many other nutrients, it has a sweet, delicate flavour and firm texture, and many chefs choose it as a leaner, more delicious and sustainable alternative to salmon.

Our commitment to high welfare and sustainable farming won us Best Aquaculture Company in the UK at the 2022 industry awards, and Best Animal Welfare in 2023. With our own unique breeding programme, we fully control the quality of our fish from egg to plate.
