Freshwater Technician - Glenkens Castle Douglas, Dumfries
We are seeking a fish husbandry technician to assist with the operations at our Steelhead smolt pen site at Glenkens Trout Farm, Dalry, Castle Douglas, which is an integral part of the supply to our sea-site production farms.
The ideal candidate will have experience in freshwater operations and interested in stepping up quickly to site management. Proven qualities in teamwork, self-motivation and having a high level of Health and Safety awareness are important.
A full driving license is essential. Full training will be provided and there are many opportunities for personal growth and development.
Kames offers a competitive package, dependent on experience, and a salary of £26,175 inclusive of rota duties.
Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a weekend duty rota.
Accommodation is available, which is shared with other Kames team members on site, in a three bedroom house on the banks of Loch Glenkens.
