We are unique in the fish farming industry for remaining very much a family firm, with Stuart and the managers working alongside the whole team every day. This means every member of our team is personally valued and supported – we all work as a close-knit community, and it’s tremendously important to our ethos.
Rural communities like ours tend to all know and look out for each other. It’s certainly not uncommon at Kames to pull in the neighbours for a bit of hard graft, and return the favour without a second thought!
Over the years we have re-built the village hall, funded music and sports lessons in local schools, and sponsored many local businesses and charities, particularly those providing sports and entertainment to young people. We continue to strive to give back to this fantastic community around us, we want it to keep thriving into the future.
