Kames on the BBC

Watch Kames on the BBC’s Landward programme

We were thrilled to feature in the BBC’s Landward programme last weekend, airing on BBC One, Two and BBC Scotland. You can still catch it on the iPlayer by clicking the button below:

The feature focused on our unique breeding programme, with 100% of our fish now grown from our own sea-loving strain. Their survival and robustness is fantastic and we can fully control the welfare and quality from egg to plate. Our Fish Health Manager Andre also touched on how this genetics programme, partnering with Xelect, will allow us to adapt for the future and climate change challenges. Broodstock Manager Ben even showed Arlene how to fertilise eggs!

We’ve had overwhelming positive feedback and it’s great to see a mainstream programme like this take the opportunity to showcase and educate viewers in what’s going on in aquaculture.
